Setting your season expectations. One of the trickier elements of being a good volleyball coach is establishing the expectations for your team at the start of a new season. It’s something we all must do, though. Maybe even more in a developmental situation, whether that be from a player or a program perspective.

You are expected to be at all practices regardless of program chosen unless you have notified the coach 24 hours in advance with the exception of being ill that day or an emergency. Volleyball is a team sport and coaches plan their practices around what the team needs to work on: for that to be successful, we need players at every practice.
Last, but NOT least…please assure your player arrives/picked up on time for practice and tournaments. If there is an emergency, please contact your coach and the Club Director or Assistant Director. Player Expectations. 1.Be a team player. Always show respect for your teammates and coaches. 2.Be coachable and accept feedback from the coaches.
Player Expectations As Head Coach, I believe that our volleyball program provides a vital link between the school and the community. Playing Time Expectations All players will have equal opportunities to train and play during practice sessions. Playing time is earned and is a privilege. Clovis North Girls Volleyball does NOT guarantee equal playing time during matches or tournaments. Coaches will make playing time decisions based on what they believe will bring success to the team.
